Amy is a professional performer and teacher with the Goddess of the Dunes
belly dance company, and has been belly dancing
since 2002 when she was 12. She has been trained in Egypt
and is proficient in Egyptian cabaret, floor
work, fire sticks, cane, drum solos, single
veil, short veils, shamadan (candelabra), sagat
(finger cymbals),
Scimitar (sword), wings of Isis, and Moroccan
tray. Her belly dance style is classical
Egyptian.
She has been a professional performer since
2007 and has performed at a variety of
corporate functions.
She loves belly
dancing because it is an amazing way for her to
express herself and have a great time. It has
made her far more comfortable with her body and
given her the confidence to perform for
audiences.
how I got started
Amy was introduced to belly dancing her my sister, who
suggested joining her at lessons. She fell in love with it immediately and has been doing it
ever since.
